Our roots are based on Big Band era music from Sinatra, Goodman, Bennet, Gershwin, Williams, Dorsey, and many other favorites from the Big Band era. We also feature an eclectic repertory of music featuring the great horn bands such as Chicago, Blood Sweat and Tears, alternative music of the nineties to the most cutting edge music played in many sophisticated dance clubs. Rest assured that everyone will have a great evening of dancing and fun with the Circle City Big Band. We are often booked from 6-12 pieces including male and female vocalist, keyboard/piano, guitar, bass, drums, saxophone, trombone, and trumpet. This instrumentation for our Big Band can be expanded to up to 19 musicians or more depending on how BIG of a big band you want at your event. In many of our very special events, receptions, weddings, corporate parties and celebrations, a 19 piece orchestra has been very popular. Circle City Big Band can effectively perform music from the big band era in the traditional instrumentation of five saxophones, four trombones, five trumpets, piano, bass, drums, female and male singers. This configuration is fashioned after the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Tommy Dorsey, and Benny Goodman Orchestras of the 1940's.
